Depois de na semana passada ter surpreendido com um direto especial para celebrar os trinta e cinco anos de Super Mario Bros., a Nintendo voltou a deixar os fãs entusiasmados esta terça-feira, dia 8 de Setembro, com o anúncio de um novo jogo do universo de The Legend Of Zelda, com data de lançamento marcada ainda para este ano!
Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity terá lugar cem anos antes dos acontecimentos retratados no aclamado The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, cuja sequela ainda se encontra em produção (tendo sido anunciada há pouco mais de um ano, com este teaser trailer). Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity será um jogo de batalhas, deixando a possibilidade de vestir a pele dos protagonistas, desde Zelda a Link, até aos quatro campeões: Mipha, Urbosa, Revali e Daruk.
De acordo com o site oficial: “Join the struggle that brought Hyrule to its knees. Learn more about Zelda, the four Champions, the King of Hyrule, and more through dramatic cutscenes as they try to save the kingdom from Calamity. Play the Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity game to see firsthand what happened 100 years ago.”

Eiji Aonuma, o produtor, apresentou a novidade no canal de Youtube da Nintendo, deixando também a data de lançamento marcada para o dia 20 de Novembro. De seguida, fica o vídeo com o anúncio do jogo.
